Rotate Boards, set your own timing
A Playlist is an ordered sequence of Boards. Set how long each Board displays, add day-of-week rules, and control how often each Board appears in the rotation.
- Rotate Welcome, Timetable, and Announcements every 10 seconds
- Show the Menu Board at lunch but not at other times
- Weight a Board to appear more frequently than others
- Add a one-off Board for a special event without disrupting your normal rotation
- Reorder Boards by drag and drop
Playlists attach to a Location. Each Location plays one Playlist at a time, but different Locations can run different Playlists simultaneously.
Different content at different times of day
Scheduling lives on the Location. Assign different Playlists to different time windows, and let NowBoard switch them automatically — no one needs to log in at 8am to change the board.
Morning welcome
Welcome Board + today's agenda from 8:00–10:00.
Lunchtime menu
Swap to the Menu Board automatically at 12:00.
Afternoon activities
Return to the Schedule Board from 13:30 onwards.
Evening slideshow
Switch to an image or ambient Board after 18:00.

Locations and hierarchy
One Location = one screen = one billing unit. Start simple and add structure as you grow. NowBoard's hierarchy unlocks at higher plan tiers.
Free / Starter: Organisation → Site → Location
Professional: adds Area and Zone between Site and Location, for larger multi-room venues.
Enterprise: adds Division and Region above Organisation, for multi-brand or multi-country groups.

Works on any TV
Plug something into your TV's HDMI port and you are live. NowBoard works with off-the-shelf hardware — no proprietary boxes, no specialist contracts.
- NowBoard Player (£139) — our dedicated device. Auto-start on boot, offline resilience, kiosk mode, CEC TV power control, remote management from your dashboard.
- Smart TV or Android TV box (£20–£50) — plug into any HDMI port, connect to Wi-Fi, sign in to your Location. A low-cost way to get going.
- Any browser — open the Player URL on a laptop, tablet, or PC for preview or as a secondary display. Not the primary recommendation for unattended screens.

Team access and permissions

The UI speaks your language
NowBoard adapts its interface to match your sector's vocabulary. You see the words your team already uses — not generic software labels.
Care homes
The Timetable Board is called "Activities". The Schedule section says "Daily programme".
Schools
Boards use "Timetable", "Assembly", and "Year group" — terms teachers recognise instantly.
Hotels
"Programme" replaces "Schedule". Rooms become "Conference suites". Guests see "Events".
Override any term
Every label in the UI is overridable from your Organisation settings. Change "Location" to "Ward", "Screen" to "Display" — whatever fits your context.
