FAQ
Common questions about digital signage for schools
Do we need to buy new screens?
No. Use the TVs already in your reception, corridors, staffroom or canteen. You need a NowBoard Player (£149 ex VAT, UK only) or Player Pro (£199 ex VAT) for each TV.
Can different staff members manage different screens?
Not yet. Today staff join as Owner or Admin, and an Admin can change any screen. Roles that limit someone to certain screens are coming.
Will it work on our school wifi?
Yes, it runs on standard school wifi. If the connection drops, the screen keeps showing the last Board it loaded.
Do we need our IT technician to set it up?
No. Your office manager can plug in the player, join the wifi and pick a Board. If they can send a text message, they can update a screen.
Can we match the screens to our school branding?
Yes. Set your school colours and logo once, and every screen uses them.
How does it handle exam timetables?
You enter the schedule once and choose what each screen shows, such as the full timetable in the corridor and today's papers by the hall. A room change updates every screen.
Can a multi-academy trust manage every school?
Yes. You can manage every screen across the trust from one dashboard, while each academy keeps control of its own.
Is there a minimum contract?
No. You pay month to month from £10 ex VAT per TV, and you can add or remove TVs whenever you need to.
