FAQ
Common questions about waiting room digital signage
Do we need approval to display health information?
NowBoard doesn't supply clinical content. You add your own approved materials, so use the same sign-off you'd use for a waiting room poster.
Can we show the estimated wait time for patients?
Yes. Reception types in a message such as "Dr Smith is running about 10 minutes behind" and changes it as appointments progress.
Do we need a new TV?
No. Any TV with an HDMI port works. Plug in a NowBoard Player (£149 ex VAT, UK only) or Player Pro (£199 ex VAT) and you're ready.
Is it GDPR-compliant? We cannot display patient names publicly.
NowBoard doesn't process patient data. The screen shows only the practice information your team adds, so you keep names off it as you would on a noticeboard.
We have multiple practices: can one person manage all of them?
Yes. A group administrator can send content to every practice or manage each one separately, and each practice manager sees only their own site.
